Party in the park

Still continuing to make the most of summer hours. Today a group of us had arranged a picnic in the local park - this morning it was raining and not looking too good. But the random weather we're having continues and this afternoon was lovely and warm! Plays havoc with my choice of clothes and the fella had to pop home to put his shorts on and grab me a change of top.

Rugs down, money in the kitty, a quick shop at M&S for their finest picnic / deli food, a jug or two of Pimms made complete with ice, mint, cucumber and fruit and we were good to go. Everyone there now knows about me n the fella and was lovely to not be able to worry about making a slip of the tongue! Some friends bought along a game they had been raving about - it involves throwing sticks at the opposing teams stumps and trying to knock them all down. Was great fun despite me being fairly shit at it. A game of rounders (I got 2 full ones) and a knackering game of nonstop cricket later with the Pimms and most of the food gone we called it a day.

A great way to spend the afternoon and a lovely reminder of how great the people I work with are
