Gardens
Through Princes St Gardens to the Castle Terrace market for more Errington cheese first thing. There'd been rain overnight, and it was mild; 16C. The gardens along the path nearest the street are flowering nicely. The monument is a war memorial for the Royal Scots Greys regiment , bronze by William Birnie Rhind.
Our neighbours wanted to do a picnic in the park in the late afternoon .. we wandered round the central garden then found a sunny spot .. though not for long. Were able to pack up and activate the back up plan, with the Errington cheese, before most of the rain arrived ..
