Terminus of the Alyeska Pipeline and remembered for the environmental catastrophe of the Exxon Valdez, Valdez was devastated in the earthquake of 1964.

Today we hiked at Worthington Glacier then spent the afternoon exploring Valdez to include ice cream, a visit to the Valdez museum and a walk along the harbor.

A grand dinner at the Princess Lodge in Copper Center allowed us the cruise ship experience without Norwalk virus.
