A summer's evening in the park
A very busy day, which wasn’t unpleasant at all! Spent a lot of time talking and communicating with friends, catching up on news (not all of it good, not all of it bad), and generally feeling quite positive about things. All I need now is a job that doesn’t involve hawking my wares down in the Byward Market. But where would the fun be in that?
Spent a good hour chatting with Morgan out in BC, followed by another hour chatting with my uncle and aunt in Vancouver. Everyone seems to be OK.
Ran down to the LCBO to pick up an order – did a few errands at Shoppers, and then got an early dinner ready when Ottawacker Jr. came home from school, as he had football practice this evening.
We were just getting ready to leave when Dele, his coach, called and said he was running late and would I mind doing the warm-ups for the team. And just like that, you get suckered into the group. Drove down to Winterwood Park and spent 15-20 minutes on a glorious evening making sure the boys were ready to go for when the coach showed up. As soon as I saw him on the horizon, I legged it… I know how these things work :) I sent Mrs. Ottawacker to pick up the boy.
