Culture, Film and Flower Friday

A one off trip to Bradford today to visit the Pictureville Cinema in the Media Museum. Photo is of the war memorial and Queen Victoria's statue next to the Alhambra Theatre. Lovely staff in the cinema - think one of them might now be looking to join our community choir. We got Silver Screen membership free, so discounted tickets, coffee and biscuits, before which we had lunch in the Media Museum Cafe. We were also given a free bag to promote the film we had gone to see - "The Salt Path"- we had read the book at our village book club sometime ago. It was a very good film with stunning scenery, although it gave me vertigo at times! It did stick very closely to the story which was good. I think it is well worth seeing. Other trips out now planned and a "special" at the Alhambra in July - Blipper Mambo will know what this is! Extras of our freebie, and  my garden rose for Flower Friday.
