The Pensioner

Back to sea...

Minky day, and the plans we had for the SK to take her up to the Traverse and see something as part of the Children’s Festival were dashed – her last ever Nursery class photo was being taken at 10am. So after that, there was only one thing for it – another visit to the Hestmanden (well, another visit for me – the first visit for the minky and SK). Oh, it’s good. We left no room unvisited.
Back and I finished my shelves while the wee one played around my feet awhile.
And then to the Diggers. Their long serving barmaid Maria is leaving to go back to Portugal after 16 years so we’ve decided to get her a gift. Gawd,  how difficult is it? Oncw we’d decided on something Scottish, AJ “volunteered” to get her a cashmere tartan scarf (of the very cheapest kind) – WhatsApp takes over:

AJ: I had a look at the Hawico website. But they are really very expensive.
(I send him a link to cheaper stuff, I mean that’s not easy, huh?)
AJ: The Tartan Weaving Mill looks like a good price point. I’m not sure how to take this forward - I’m certainly not confident about making the choice myself.
(I reply: What you do is just choose one you fancy and say to us, I fancy this one and we all just say yeah whatever, fine)
AJ: I can go to the Tartan Weaving Mill tomorrow afternoon. Does anyone want to join me?
AJ: It might be an online only offer and we’re too late for an online order.
(he eventually goes and buys the bliddy one I’ve pointed out and posts a photo of it)
At this point in our chat, up pops MrT:
So I could go and get the scarf today if we're decided

Strewth.
