Blown

These petunias have lasted two weeks. They were originally a bright reddish pink but have become paler with time until the petals are now becoming brown as they decay. I don't know about you but I like the feel of a 16th century painting about them, how they just emerge from the darkness. Should I have done a bit of dodging and burning?

The day started well with Harry bringing Amber to service the pond. Amber is a new member of the team. Ages since we've seen Harry, the main man. I think the last time was just before his daughter was born. He told us that the entire team will be busy next week building a pond for Gardeners' World. The programme will screen the following week.

Len was able to see the chief doctor at the surgery and get his medication put on repeat prescription and if you know how difficult it is to get an appointment these days... Then at the Outwoods, we met Judy and Phil who I haven't seen since the earliest days of Covid in 2020. We are to meet again.

I also bumped into Sam from idVerde who controls the tramper bookings. She gave me the working mobile number on which to call her, Hurrah!

So not a bad day in all.
