Solitary rose

This afternoon I walked to Buckhurst Hill and back for a hair cut, which always gives my Activity app on my watch a good boost. I had plenty of time so I stopped on the way at the pond beside St. John’s Church, the edge lined at the moment with beautiful yellow irises. On seeing me the ducks started to swim frantically in my direction, hopeful of some food. Alas, I was not able to oblige.

I then had a stroll through the churchyard next door and this pink rose just begged me to take its photo, so I did.
