Rose

Suffice to say that the forecast was correct - it did indeed rain overnight, and today it's been decidedly chilly, wet, and windy.  Back to normal then! Though the rain is much needed after the dry spell.

An indoor Blip is much more cheerful than an outdoor scene today. This is a rose from our neighbour's garden. It overhangs ours, and MrM accidentally broke it off the plant when he was working on the new shed garden room. A beautiful rose with a subtle scent.

While MrM was playing at a ceilidh this evening I made good use of the time by decluttering my wardrobe and drawer unit. I was much more disciplined and ruthless than on previous occasions - all items of clothing labelled size 8 are now in carrier bags waiting to go to a charity shop, two carrier bags full! Several T-shirts and blouses were put to one side, awaiting repair, having been the victims of clothes moths. No mothballs to hand, so Olbas oil has been deployed in the hope that it will keep the moths away...
