Yoga, ditches, weeds and birds

Back to yoga today after missing two weeks’ of classes. Our yoga teacher has adjusted her schedule so instead of having a class on a Thursday morning, we now have one late on Wednesday afternoon. It feels very different practicing later in the day - I think I feel less energetic and the world outside is warmer and noisier.  Afternoon classes will perhaps mean I can slide into a relaxing evening! I noticed a lot of stiffness in my body as we practiced today.

The morning was spent at the allotment. I had a slightly delayed start while Andy went to rescue a dog stuck in a deep ditch that borders the meadow. He and a few other people managed to free it but the dog and the lady walking it were a little shaken by the experience. At the allotment I cut the grass and weeded - for three hours. There’s more to do but the priority task is to net the currant bushes as they are ripening early this year and the birds have already discovered them, snapping branches off as they feed.
