Purple Rain

Nice car. Not sure about the colour though - it’s definitely love it or hate it. I’m tending to the latter, though I wouldn’t turn the car down on those grounds if it was given to me!
It’s been a good day today. Started with my second planned run of the week. Aiming to cover 4K today but, as I felt really good when I reached that distance, I carried on to reach 5K. And no aches or pains. Well, not in the bits I didn’t want to ache. There were a lot of other bits that were protesting. But it was the quickest 5K I’d run in the last year and probably the first time in over two years that I’d managed to do two runs in a week.
The sun came out this afternoon and I got word that my acoustic had finished being restrung and set up. So I went to get it on the motorbike. Nice ride out and no fears about getting held up in traffic, like I was yesterday. Came home via the coast road. Unfortunately, as it is half term, everybody else seemed to have had the same idea so it was a very leisurely ride. Which was no bad thing as the guitar on my back actually stuck up a good foot or so above my helmet and acted as an air brake at anything over 50mph. And when I got on the dual carriageway I discovered that at 70mph I had to keep a very firm grip on the handlebars if I wanted to avoid being blown off the back!
Still, I got home safely and with my guitar intact. And despite today’s title, there was only a bit of rain this morning and none forecast now until the middle of the night.
Will probably leave the planned third run of the week until Saturday though, to make sure all aching muscles have a chance to recover…
