LNU
10 mm rain during the night was good for everything growing, we need both rain and warmth for everything to develop in a good way.
I was working at the theatre today, the Linnaeus University in Kalmar (LNU) celebrated their masters students, finishing today. Everybody are so happy, excited and proud, both the students as well as their parents, family and friends. The picture is deliberately a bit blurry, mainly because I couldn't ask for permission but also for showing the general vibe in the room. This time the foto is taken from the wing of the stage, in order to try and find new angles for all my pictures from here.
The student who had the honour to hold the student-speech said many wise things about now having the chance to make a difference, a real change and to be a role model of hope for so many. She was from Georgia in former Soviet Union and came to Sweden just to study for her masters degree and then go home but said she learned so much here and has changed into a completely different person because of her studies, new friends and meeting all these brilliant people. She also mentioned that one of the first important things things she learned here was "fika", or coffee brakes that she found so important for her, they gave a possibility to pose, to learn and to listen to what all the bright people around the table had to say, something she will bring with her to Georgia.
It also made me happy to see all the nationalities of the students on the stage, the majority looked "foreign" one way or another, of course some of them can be born in Sweden but many were guest students, now returning to their country or staying in a new found home.
