A day in the life

My friend M and me had a nice walk down one of the old fishing harbours on the south coast. Close by, this piece of accoustic art has its place close to the waterline. It looks like a huge funnel, open towards the sea, two and a half metres long and over a metre wide opening, narrowing down to a ten cm opening on the land side. It catches the sound of the water in great detail and when you put your ear to the mall opening, what you hear is the detailed sounds of the water amplified through the funnel. All wind noise is filtered out completely. An amazing accoustic phenomenon.

The extra is from a forest of crooked, very old trees, I coulnt help seeing the image of a former American president in there, attitude and all.
