Today has been a write off! I developed a sore throat late yesterday and it kept me awake for most of the night…hence the early morning blip when I had to pay a visit! By the time I got up my urine infection had returned with a vengeance, I did manage to get a nurses appointment for this afternoon which I insisted on being a phone call as no way at that point could I leave the house. I’d been looking forward to getting dressed up and going out for a posh lunch with some of the WI ladies but had to cry off; I then got a message from eldest which wasn’t great news and could potentially be serious (only time and more testing will tell) and as I was composing myself to answer him I spotted the rat roaming the garden as though it owned the place…I think it may be nesting and have pest control coming for a look tomorrow! MC arrived with antibiotics about 4pm so hopefully they’ll kick in quickly. The other girls did manage to bring my dessert home with them but it was rather expensive at £40! Now trying to stay awake until bedtime.

My blip was taken about an hour before sunrise and I just caught sight of a cargo boat heading north after being piloted out of the port on an early high tide.
