Leeds

I’m not long back from a trip into Leeds. Cloudy but dry and I felt a bit too warm for a jacket especially as it seemed to be getting brighter but I hadn’t been back in the house long before there was a shower.

Not a great deal to go for but I needed to update my points account at Seasalt. They have gone digital and I still had a stamp card. It needed to be done by the end of June and although I do go to the shop more frequently in Bath, we’re not due down there again till July. Still plenty of time but I had my free coffee voucher from Waterstones which expired on Saturday so that was my first port of call!

Had a browse around but have had quite a few new books lately and I’d found a free copy of Hardanger Abbey in Bingley station before getting the train. It’s one Jane Austin I haven’t read and I know it’s set in Bath so had to have it. I did spot another Angela Harding jigsaw called The Salt Path, I’m a glutton for punishment so that will be going on my list.

I took the usual pictures in the arcades but spotted this display just outside. Not sure if it’s to do with the recent VE Day commemorations ( most of which we missed) or just general British exuberance but I rather liked it so it’s my blip today from my trip into Leeds. Also lots of attractive displays in and around Bingley station in the extra.
