On the way home
I was so tired last night that I slept very well and woke at 0525 ready for the day! I persuaded myself to have a cuppa and rest in case this was a fantasy!
I was up in time to shower, have breakfast, load the car and head for the tip by 9. Emptying the car there is very satisfying.
There were boxes of stuff for Relate too, and I headed there next. Then to Aldi for a much needed food shop.
I was home in time to do a quick (superficial) car wash before a phone appointment with a physio.
Does anyone have a good way to remove dead insects from the windshield?!
After lunch it was a trip to Corbridge Health Centre for a hearing test. I was last tested 7 years ago. As I predicted, my hearing has deteriorated and is now in the moderate loss section on the charts.
I have to wait for an appointment to have a hearing aid issued and fitted. At least I wasn’t imagining it!
Then to see Margret and catch up. She had a good time with Monica and Chloe (and Bess) but wished they could have stayed longer.
Kevin and Lorraine come next week but, unsurprisingly, Margret wants to have a trip out with them rather than have Kevin take her to the Care products shop to see if her feet can be made secure on her wheelchair footrests. I understand that, because they will be here for only 2 nights.
I have looked at this view in my Blip for years and intended to walk to capture it. Tonight, the Military Road was very quiet and I stopped the car to take just one shot. I love the way you see glimpses of the open countryside beyond.
