On The Lookout

………… for anything that looks like food - when we replenish the ground feeders in the afternoon, crows are very often the first to arrive, but even they are intimidated by gangs of rowdy starlings :-/

My daughter popped round for a cup of tea and a chat - she was on her way to see her best friend, S, who still lives in the village. When they were both teenagers I used to see a lot of S as she was always hanging out with my daughter ……… she’s such a lovely girl, I used to say she was my second daughter ;-) unfortunately, I don’t see much of her now because she lives on a farm at the other end of the village but I do sometimes see her teenage son walk past the house when he goes to visit his friend who lives a few doors away from me - it makes me smile when I see him, even though he wouldn’t know me from Adam ……… the circle of life ;-)

We then spent the afternoon potting up the plants we recently acquired ……. What a lovely way to spend the day ;-)
