Painterly

Another day of miserable weather, don’t mind the rain , we certainly need it but such a cold wind.
Decided to get the bus to Grassington, there in less than an hour.
Elaine and l both wanted a croissant and coffee at Croquembouche the French cafe we love to visit. Last time l had the almond croissant but this time l had a pistachio one, hard to choose my favourite but l think the almond just won.
While there we decided to buy a walnut loaf as they had just come out of the oven, we will split it when she goes home tomorrow.
Also fell to temptation and bought two cakes (coffee eclair and a Paris Brest) to eat this evening.
A little of what you fancy does you good.
The cafe saved our purchases while we had a walk. Then l carefully carried them home in the box on two buses.

Took my main shot as we returned from our walk and have given it a little painterly effect.
Extra shows the main pub in Grassington ( The Devonshire Arm’s) with it’s temporary sign to change it into The Drover’s Arms as it will be used when the Christmas Special for All Creatures Great and Small is filmed in two weeks time, the advert and notice board are there for the same reason.
Just need to bring the artificial snow now!
