Scattered Showers
We caught the bus to Hawes, it was really busy and Elaine and l had to stand up till we got to Cracoe near Grassington.
The bus is usually a double decker in mid summer but it was a single today on the outward journey.
Lots of squally showers on the journey interspersed with brilliant sunshine.
When we got to Hawes there was a sudden sharp cloudburst and we got a soaking so we hurried into the nearest tearoom and what a good choice thar was, we had homemade mushroom soup and a cheese scone straight out of the aga. Had stopped raining by the time we left and we enjoyed a walk back to the Creamery where they make the cheese. It’s also the bus terminus.
Had a bit of time to spare so we had a look round and tasted a sample of a few cheeses, didn’t buy though.
The photograph in extras shows how quickly the weather changed as it was quite blustery and the rain clouds approached at a pace.
The two shots were taken minutes apart.
