The Glaven Valley
A and I walked the circular route from Glandford this morning. As it’s a Bank Holiday we wanted to avoid the popular spots. This is a favourite inland walk of mine, lots of variety, woodland, field margins, pigs, the pretty chalk stream that is the River Glaven and Natural Surroundings Nature Reserve and cafe part way round. The photo is Bayfield Hall and it’s pretty church ruin. Annoyingly, I left my camera at home so this is just a phone shot.
There have been a number of ‘twitchers’ hanging around the estate. I don’t know what the bird is that they’ve all come to see but it must be something quite unusual.
Mostly sunny today but the wind is still cool. Jobs at home beckon this afternoon.
