Ilfracombe Beer Fest
Had a nice relaxing morning (including a soak in the bath), and then Tim and I walked down to the seafront, to go to the beer festival. After yesterday's drizzle, we were back to lovely sunny weather again, so it was a beautiful walk, and a good atmosphere down there. Really busy too!
We held off on the beer until about 3pm. Before that, we listened to a bit of the live music (an acid jazz duo), then spotted Jay (who built our summer house last year), so had a good catch up with him - and then had a little walk over to Capstone for a quick peek at the car boot sale there. Then back to the beer fest, where we sampled some beer (Tim) and cider (me) and settled in for some more live music. The Black Sands - a covers band - were excellent, and played some different kind of covers (The Bangles, Walk Like an Egyptian, and the Cranberries, Zombie to give a couple of examples - with a local 14-year-old girl with an amazing voice joining them on the latter).
We were reasonably restrained (Tim three pints, me one and a half) and headed home for dinner.
