Goslings

A visit to Waltham Abbey to see our friends Al and Liz for eating, conversation and a trip out.

We went to nearby Forty Hall for a wander around the walled garden and pleasure gardens on a busy bank holiday Sunday afternoon.

Our journey home looked like it was going to be fraught as the Sat Nav said the M25 was closed south of the Dartford Crossing and we were to be diverted via the Blackwall Tunnel.

The main problem with this route is that the Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels now charge tolls meaning you need to set up an account and register your vehicle.

I did all this in vain as I checked the route back to Kent again and it said the M25 was open. Indeed it was and we had a smooth, uninterrupted trip back to Kent!

Had a quick FaceTime with Chris, Landon and Maddy in California when we got in. Maddy is very chatty and gets Landon to say hello and talk to us. Very uplifting few moments with them all.
