Bankburn (Day 3671)

The "quiet curry" last night was an entirely different affair than I had expected. Unbeknown to me, my beautiful wife had got a bunch of friends together to celebrate my recent birthday. I was incredibly surprised and equally embarrassed - I have long loathed being centre of attention and much prefer my birthday to pass entirely unmarked. Good food, good company and incredibly offensive gifts made for a very fine evening.
This morning, a boat cancellation meant a change to HV's plans, and she accompanied me to town for the weekly shop after I had returned from a fairly wet wander with Sigyn.
Back home, household chores were done, before a while on the couch.
After lunch, HV and I headed back to Happy Valley to take Sigyn for a wander. It was very windy, but thankfully dry. With Sigyn back home and fed, HV and I zoomed to Stromness to check on the horses. I fiddled with a seized wheel on our big trailer, and was entirely unsuccessful in making any progress with it. It will have to go to someone who knows what they are doing.
A brief stop off at Mum's on the way home was a good way to finish off Sunday.
