Birthday Girl (Day 3670)
Yesterday's weather forecast was correct and I woke to the sound of cars passing on a wet road. I had a slow start to the day and headed out with Sigyn for a wander when it looked like the rain had eased off. After such a long dry spell, it wasn't too unpleasant wandering in the damp air. As we turned for home the drizzle started again and we were fairly wet by the time we got home.
A bit later my beautiful wife and I headed to the wilds of Harry and collected a few bales of hay before heading to the horses. HV got on with some field chores and hoss scratching while I collected our water trailer from one of our fields and moved it to where the Shetlands are grazing at the moment.
Back home for lunch then off to Happy Valley for a wander. It is years since I have been there and it is looking fabulous. There has been a lot of tree planting and the young saplings are obviously happy where they are. It made me think we should maybe put a few trees in the bit of our garden we are letting grow wild, a change from sycamore would be nice.
We had a brief stop at home to drop Sigyn off then zoomed back to the horses to do the remains of the chores. Having put the hay out, HV got on George while he munched hay. He took her for a special birthday tour of the field, mainly to check on the amount of hay in the rest of the feeders.
Off for celebratory curry this evening.
