Brandenburg Gate, Berlin

The first day of our very brief city break in Berlin.  First we had breakfast near Checkpoint Charlie (extra), visited a section of the Wall that has not been demolished, and so many other places including the memorial for the Roma in a quiet garden with a pool of water.  We clocked up six miles walking in the heat and several U-Bahn rides.  Oh yes, and we had a cruise on the river which was very interesting.  There is much space in the city and many shady trees, it did not seem at all crowded, many bicycles.
Extras seem to be on their sides - now they have turned the right way up!
