Glass

This is a piece that I brought home on Thursday. I made it a while ago but left it at the studio to get it sandblasted, which I don't know how to do myself. I had thought it was a bit boring as it was so, under guidance, I stuck some heavy-duty vinyl film on the back which left some areas uncovered: the square in the middle and the triangles with a long side as the side of the plate. These areas then became semi-opaque when blasted with sand while the rest of the plate stayed transparent. I think it looks better now, but you really need to have it sitting on something white or cream.
