Flying The Flag

We've been to see the optician in Witney today. I succumbed and ordered some new lenses for my old frame. The optician has loaned me a similar frame, put my current lenses in it, and will get the new lenses fitted to my current frame. Don't ask how much.

The loan frame is just pure black and it looks OK. I wonder why I never considered a basic black frame last time. I bet nobody notices or comments over the next couple of weeks before the blue/tortoiseshell one comes back.

There were lots of marshals in high vis wandering about, some carrying Road Closed signs. Mrsfb said there was some sort of street market going on next to the cinema. And the church was flying a multi coloured flag.

I checked when I got home - it was Witney Pride Day 2025, with a street procession planned. We just missed it I think. It's a Progress Pride flag apparently.
