AN OUTING TO THE GARDEN CENTRE

Hello Lovely Blippers,

P.C. Plod here - to tell you about our visit to the Garden Centre this morning.  We couldn’t all go in with the HCBs because we knew they were going to be buying lots of things and we realised there wouldn’t be enough room in the trolley for us all, but we were the fortunate ones.

Mrs. HCB was excited because she has been wanting to buy new tops for a while and she managed to buy some today - in a garden centre - how strange!  We think even dear Admirer would have been scratching her head about that, but Mrs. HCB was happy - and the lady who served her was really kind.

Mr. HCB was happy too because he managed to get three bags of Multi-Purpose compost that were 3 for £15 and some pea shingle - and you can see him at the top right, so two happy bunnies this morning.

Added to that, Mrs. HCB managed to give out lots of little wooden hearts - the first ones when they went into the café before they started shopping.  Many years ago, Mrs. HCB used to be a Registrar for Weddings in the Church they went to at the time and she recognised one of her “brides”!  When she went over to chat to them, the bride and her husband said they had been married now for 42 years!  How time flies - but it was lovely to see the couple and to know they are still together.  They were delighted to have one of Mrs. HCB’s little hearts and even came over and spoke to the HCBs before they left.  A lovely start to the day!

Mr. HCB has now unloaded the car and he is watching the Test Match - England v. Zimbabwe - and is pleased that England are winning, but he says that Zimbabwe are batting well at the moment.  Meanwhile, we are telling the rest of the Silly Saturday Gang all about our trip to the Garden Centre.

All that remains is for us to remind you to BE KIND - the weather may be a little “iffy” today - grey skies and very breezy, but don’t let that stop you BEING KIND - and have a great week.

Love from P.C. Plod and some of the Silly Saturday Gang xxx

P.S.  The HCBs didn’t buy any garden planters, we just sat in them to have our photograph taken!
