A Fitting End

Our last day here on the Suffolk coast. As usual it’s gone all too fast. We haven’t been very adventurous but we’ve been to places we love and taken things at a leisurely pace. The weather has been mostly very kind. For the first time in ages, we had some rain overnight, but by breakfast time it had stopped. We had a leisurely walk around Dunwich Heath, and although I had seen them on previous visits, a photo opportunity hadn’t presented itself for the iconic Dartford Warbler. Today, they finally showed themselves not to far from the path, and a bit of perseverance allowed me to get this shot as one popped into a pine tree, giving a more colourful background than the usual heather scrub.l
