Impressions of lavender

Yesterday, the focus was on the golden glow of Bodnant’s laburnum arch; today it’s all about our purple lavender.  

I’m pretty much out of inspiration today, so it’s an evening wander round the garden looking for blips. The light - like yesterday - is beautiful, and I notice it’s catching the still tightly budded lavender. G has been watering - the soil, of course, is parched after this wonderful spell of warmth - and tiny droplets sparkle as they catch the light.  I lie down on the grass and try some shots, going for a very shallow DOF. 

And so today you have some very ‘impressionistic’ lavender blips! And, as usual, there are some alternatives in extras!
