Fulmars
Today we traveled to Harris and Lewis all the way up to the Butt of Lewis. The Butt of Lewis is the most northerly point on the Island of Lewis. On the way we saw a few short-eared owls and two male hen harriers. Although we had good views of the owls and harriers, we were either in a moving vehicle or just a bit too far away for decent shots with my lens. I think I have seen more short-eared owls on this holiday than I have seen in my entire life. The outer islands are full of them.
Extra - fulmar in flight.
I 'm not sure which photo I should have chosen as the main photo.
