Rain

As the title suggests, we broke our dry spell today; a little, anyway.

After what feels like weeks and weeks of dry - very welcome from one point of view - we had a bit of rain overnight and a couple more showers today. Not enough to fill the thousand litre IBC that catches the runoff from the gutter, but enough to dampen the new grass and wake everything up.

The bees came out swiftly enough since the clouds passed over. Dry flowers don't produce so much nectar...
