Bee and blue

Just after a huge downpour at around 1.30, the sun came out. To escape the decorating for a few minutes, I grabbed the camera and drove off to Pipe Hill Heathland.

The blues were out. Lots and lots of Common Blue butterflies. Plus a very bedraggled Meadow Brown, a few Green-veined whites and a solitary Gatekeeper.

I wished my speed setting had been faster - for this capture is little more than a blur
Showdown - three common blues (one female)

I liked this shot too

But I couldn't resist the bee's expression as he/she tried to chase off the feeding blue.
