Kimono top
We both slept well though James was still awake when we went to bed and woke up grumpy. However after he got his breakfast and got himself sorted he went off happily to school with Thomas and Henry.
#3 daughter has written to explain to her MP why she’s leaving the Labour Party. I’m sure a lot of people are very unhappy and disappointed with them.
Mr C now thinks the white paint is too white. I thought it was a greyish white. Maybe we need a light grey but he forgot to bring the colour chart back. He also forgot to take a photo of it. However he redeemed himself by stopping off at Lidl on the way back to get a bottle of Cremante.
I walked to the second hand clothes shop (pre-loved - eek!) and a bakery where I bought a sourdough loaf and a single-size quiche. £8.35 she said. Eek again. In another shop I got a little cover-up short kimono-type thing. The pattern is quite Japanese with lots of colours so it will be very useful I think.
My knee was painful of course but I continued down to the sea which was calmer than yesterday. It was so nice I walked along the prom a bit further. For about a minute my knee didn’t hurt at all but then it continued as before and I was relieved to get back. I did 2.5 miles. I’m going to get a knee brace.
Marion arrived from town and we sat in the garden with coffee and a bit of banana bread that daughter had made before she left. She was still here when James and Isaac arrived after school. She was an educational psychologist and had two autistic grandchildren. She said she saw no signs of that in James who makes eye contact, has friends and chatted happily though he’d not met her before. Thomas had gone to the park with a little gang of both boys and girls.
#2 daughter and Phil had a great day at Pompeii. They booked an English-speaking archaeologist for 2 hours then explored by themselves.
