Empty Nest

For the last week I've watched a couple of birds feeding their chick(s) in the nest. All day long flying back and forth. Pretty sure the male bird is getting quite pissed off as he would feed the chick, and then stand on another wall opposite me bitterly complaining about something.

The female seemed a little chilled about this continual feeding thing, although even she was hiding from the nest when she brought more food - and then in a "if i must" popped her head round and fed the gobby chick.

But today they are gone. All three of them. Haven't seen them all day and it's strangely quiet here.

I have no idea if the chick could fly (doubt it), or whether something got into the nest last night and killed the chick, or maybe he fell out. Today, no sign of any of them - and I can't quite get enough height to see into the nest itself.
