Looking up

The riches of so many blue sky photos at the moment! 

I also got my apology for being accused of lying. "I've got to eat humble pie, you were absolutely right, but I just couldn't believe it until I saw the insane footage." I do admit, I'd like to see that footage... but I did also point out I didn't appreciate the accusation as I'd never given any of them cause to think I might be telling anything other than the truth over the twelve years I've worked here.

What happened was some kind of wind vortex occurred in the courtyard, pulling the umbrellas out of their bases (those water filled ones) turning them inside out and blowing them for quite a way. There was a bare patch of very dry earth which also had a bit of a dust storm over it as the two umbrellas which got the furthest up the field blew by. Don't ask me about why or how it occurs, it's all too technical for me, I do know there are patches near one set of the three sets of automatic doors where I've seen a smaller version of the dust storm happen. 

What I am deeply grateful for, and it was why I looked for a lovely, gentle photo, is that no-one got hurt. It happened about fifteen minutes after the end of student day, and the two students who also saw it all happen were safely at the bottom of the courtyard. To be fair, it was one of them yelling which alerted me that it was all starting.
