Woodpecker

Peck, peck!  Been chasing
this little guy for weeks.  Yay,
finally saw him!

We heard this woodpecker on a particular tree a few weeks ago and I've been searching for him every time that I've been in the woods since!  No luck.. until today!  Very exciting, he (she??!) was very high up, so this is a phone capture on high zoom but I thought it was good enough to prove the Spot!
I figured I probably wouldn't have anything more interesting than that to photograph or post today, so I decided I was safe enough to Blip early!
Nothing much else, Mr KCNQ2Haiku took Ben out for a mega walk this morning so I had quite a leisurely few hours pottering on my own.  I can't say I did anything very useful with the time, a mini bit of kitchen cleaning and some washing, quick dog walk but mostly drinking coffee and watching a bit of telly :-)
Just waiting for some biscotti to come out of the oven, so that will be yummy snacks sorted for the week (well, at least until Tuesday!) and I think I'll leave you there for now :-)
