Diary of an Edinburgher

Suits you, Archie

Archie's big day out with his friends! We met them in the Links. And as usual, he hasn't a clue where they were, frantically looking hither and thither, hearing their cries of 'Archie! Archie!' but having Not a Clue of the direction. Always the same scene every week. He's a slow learner, bless him.

JR had free coffees down in John Lewis, and so we set off. Coffees, a scone, a look around the techie department (some very desirable phones, watches, cameras, radios, TVs etc) and then spent an inordinate amount of time in the kitchen department. Yes, looking at kitchenware is a time consuming activity. SO MANY choices! Non stick, stainless steel, aluminium, Teflon, Tefal, ceramic, titanium, removable handles, folding handles, lid stackers, plus all the chef-endorsed ones... what a mine-field. More research is needed, though I'm tempted to stick with Jamie Oliver - he wouldn't endorse rubbish...

We were back home in plenty of time for Archie and his pals to come back. Another great walk, a swim paddle for Archie, and on the way home, he found a blonde wig, so of course he wanted to try it on! A couple more in Extras of his great day out.
