Not The Blip I had Planned.
We had another food pick-up this morning and the traffic on the narrow road between pick-up and drop-off was light enough for me to stop and get a shot (or 4) that I have been wanted since the rape started flowering.
Unfortunately there was no sun so the yellow wasn't as bright as it should have been and there were no shadows showing up the tracks/paths left by the off-road motor bikes an the faces on the shale bing.
There was some cupboard emptying done in the kitchen prior to the work starting on Monday.
I arranged with a local charity to come and collect the small freezer which will be surplus to requirement.
I started trimming back the front hedge, but had to stop and repair the cable on the hedge trimmer after managing to cut through it!!!! After that was done and the trimming completed I set to removing more of the pond weed (it grows at a phenomenal rate). It took longer than expected because the stupid tadpoles seemed to swim towards the disturbance caused by the net instead of away from it and I seemed to spend more time rescuing them and putting them back in the water.
I was quite surprised when the newt turned up in the net though.
(There are a couple more shots with the link.)
