Thistledown

This is the time of year when the thistles spread their seed for next year's crop.

After lunch N and I drove over to Sherborne to the framing gallery to choose some surrounds for a couple of pictures. T started to combine the rest of the barley but after a round of the field he tested the moisture content of the grain and it was way too high because there are some plants that are not yet ripe - very difficult. It is very expensive to dry the corn before it is stored or sold.
