I needed to go to Edinburgh in the morning to collect a pot that I won at a silent auction for Palestine. After that I stayed a bit longer in Edinburgh, ordered a book at Blackwell's, and went to a few charity shops as I could do with some new (to me) clothes, before going back home. There I had quite a few long conversations, first with my mother, who had seen the anaesthetist, to see whether they would give the go-ahead or not for an operation. The prospect of a general anaesthetic on a 94 year old is worrying but she has the go-ahead is quite decided to go for it. Then I had a chat with both my daughters in turns. In the evening I gave Django a slightly longer walk.
