Turning ...
Today started out sunny and warm, just like every day since we landed in Ireland. But change was in the air. We left Bantry and drove along the coast to Cork, to see a little more of the city and the harbour. Then it was on to Youghal. Someone gave us two Youghal Pottery mugs as a wedding present (in 1969 !!). I was hoping that I'd be able to replace them (broken many years ago), but the pottery is no more.
The tide was out, the clouds were beginning to build, and when we got to Waterford we turned northwards. It feels like an ending I coming.
Now we're set up for the night in a very rural place in the Wicklow Mountains. The only sound is the patter of rain on the roof. I expect the farmers are happy.
