Can You See Me Now?

HAHA..Yes I can, you little devil!

I had taken note that I had not seen any bunnies in the yard and usually would have by now. I feared that the coyotes might have had something to do with that; so seeing this little fellow and his buddy today was a relief! They probably have been here all along but are so well camouflaged that they fooled me..and the coyotes too?

It was book club morning today and my friend Elaine next door was hosting, so no driving was involved. Easy Peasy. The book was What She Said,  by Elizabeth Renzetti, and I read it so many months ago that I feared I would not remember enough details for the discussion, but that was not a problem. The authors' theme was that, in the fight for women's equality, we have not come a long way and she set out to provide evidence in a variety of fields. All of us, being of a certain age, were already convinced; we had witnessed, lived and worked through those unfair conditions and are quite aware that they still exist, so we had lots to talk about!  It brought back for me an image I saw recently of an elderly woman protester that says it all. She was holding a sign that said "I can't believe I am STILL doing this!"

The author did a fine job of presenting her argument in an easy-to-read style, so we hope that her book will be popular, but we expect that it may never be read by those who really need to read it!

Today was also my postponed appointment for x-rays on my hips and ultrasounds on my shoulders; it was a relief to get that done, not that I expect there will be anything that can be easily fixed... but hope springs eternal...

Lovely things are happening out in the garden these days. new plants emerging, new birds dropping by..so every day there are little surprises to brighten up the day. (extra)

Only one more day with my sister..She leaves early Saturday morning...
