The Tower remembers WW2

Today on 80th Anniversary of VE Day I went to the Tower of London to see the Poppy display. So much smaller than the one on the outside of the tower in 2014 which was to commemorate WW1 and when I helped ‘plant’ those poppies.
See extra for the noticeboard plus poem by Simon Armitage and view of Tower Bridge too.
I’ve also added a couple of photos from 2014 when there were thousands of poppies around the outside of the walls in the moat area.

After this went for lunch and to see the Great Gatsby musical at the London Colliseum which is a very good production…lots of lovely costumes plus interesting digital scenery.

Now watching the TV celebration concert…On the way back to Waterloo we saw quite a few people going towards Horseguards wearing  appropriate dress…. Either red , white and blue or military medals.
