Suits you, Archie!
More sunshine all day. BUT... that chilly breeze if you came round a corner! Fine in the front garden, and then the back garden, but nippy everywhere else.
Archie and I walked over to the Links to Meet his friends Amanda and John. He's still as blind as a bat when he hears them calling, and has NO sense of direction... but when he does see them - he's off like a bullet.
They had a lovely day, including (human) treats at the cafe in the Hermitage. Archie had a couple of 'swims' and treats at the Police box, and had a lovely long walk again. No wonder he's snoring as we speak.
We decided to pop into town - one of JR's treasured handbag handles has broken. Tragedy! It will have to be sent off to (to Paris!) to be fixed. I had a vague idea of maybe having a look in M&S or even Uniqlo, but as soon as I was in town I abandoned that idea. We wandered along on the sunny side of the street, to Contini for a coffee. Its just a wonderful place to sit. Not outside in the slightly tacky wooden decking, but inside in the beautiful ornate old bank, with the quiet instrumental jazz music the perfect accompaniment. We had scones with our coffee, but they were not the best in town. The butter MUST at room temperature, and be easily spread. The waitress agreed.
I then had had enough of town, so got the next bus home, but I had time to pop in and get a bag of licorice.
When the walkers returned, we all sat out in the back garden, which was sunny and warm.
