Late to the Party..

One of my three Christmas cacti has bloomed in May? What's with that? The other two are so confused.....but I love it! 

Life is different here with my sister visiting; I am not reading as much and certainly having trouble keeping up with journals! About the reading though. I finished reading The Dressmakers of Auschwitz by Lucy Adlington and that was an easy-to-read book but a very heavy topic. I needed to choose a totally different type of book to follow that one! the one I chose  ( extra) turned out to be Don't Look For Me, by Wendy Walker, one of 7  books in the category  of  "Mysteries and Thrillers Set in a Cabin" (quite the category, n'est-ce pas? ) offered on Modern Mrs. Darcy's blog. The promo "pulse-pounding thrill of a novel" convinced me this was the book I needed and I started it today. 

Our big outing of the day was to Costco in search of new Muskoka/Adirondack chairs for the cottage. Our mission was not accomplished, but I did stock up on some of my favourite food items in quantities, of course, that should last me for months; so all was not lost.
