At last!
A sunset! With colour!
We haven't seen one of those for ages! Not expecting one, my sister and I didn't even consider going down to the lake to get a photo..but there it was! In all its glory, right out in my backyard! A quick step out onto the deck and snap! A blip!
And a welcome one. I had assumed that I would have a plethora of blip photos to choose from after spending the day touring around visiting artist studios - just think of all the possibilities...paintings, sculptures, designer clothing, pottery, jewellery, hand-woven items...(extra) but my heart just wasn't in it as much as in precious years. The sites were almost the same ones as in other years, so the excitement of finding something new and different just wasn't there.
We visited three sites and really did enjoy those ones, but decided to forego the others. We went to a café instead and had a lovely relaxing lunch, and with great resolve, refrained from indulging in their popular butter tarts! (applause please).
If the truth be told, my heart just wasn't in it partly because it was a bad mobility day for me. The discomfort was one thing, but the realization that I just am not ready to do those long days out as I used to, was disheartening. and frustrating; I guess I need to just accept that and get on with doing what I can and be grateful for that.
