My spot...
...for the afternoon.
Had a follow up appointment with the pelvic physio at PRI this morning. She did an ultrasound on my bladder and was able to tell me the good news that since my hysterectomy and the removal of the massive fibroid, my bladder is now emptying fully. Yay! The fibroid was so large she is treating me as though I have just given birth and will see me regularly for 12 months post op. She sent a letter to my GP (while I was there) suggesting I am prescribed HRT (oestrogen) as that can help with UTI's, which I am sadly still experiencing. I have a telephone appointment already arranged with my GP next week so will discuss that further with her then.
We returned from the hospital and had lunch in the garden. Dining al fresco Scottish style - sausage sandwich, cuppa and ketchup! LOL! I never buy white bread but D had a notion for some so his wish is my command. Our second course of fruit (melon, oranges, apple and pomegranate) with Greek yogurt, was a bit more healthy (see extras :-)
D disappeared inside to do some admin for the vocal harmony group he sings with then took Lola for a walk. I stayed in the garden with my crochet and listened to a podcast about Kate Bush. Bliss :-)
Oh, I also downloaded an app that identifies birdsong and I've become slightly obsessed by it. The birds in the garden were in fine voice this afternoon, the main one being a VERY chatty chaffinch, followed by a blackbird, robin, wood pigeons, rooks and a sweet little dunnock. Wonderful :-)
Back indoors by 6pm to make a quick dinner (homemade mac n cheese) as D was heading out to his singing rehearsal. I am now about to measure Baby Alfie's pram blanket as I think it's almost at the correct size, then I have to decide if it needs a border and if so, which stitch to use.
Decisions decisions :-))
PS Got a message from Vickie. She, Penny and Alan are having a fabulous time in Somerset.
