A hazy sunrise at Elkenrade

The only thing that was similar to yesterday was the alarm clock. I went off at 04:45 again. 
Weather circumstances were the opposite compared to yesterday.
Cloudy and grey. Getting more grey by the minute.

Yesterday we scouted this location, somewhere in the fields near Elkenrade. The two trees in the distance caught our attention and we discovered the sun would rise exactly behind it.
But we never saw the sun. The lighter is became, the thicker the clouds grew. This photo was taken about 30 minutes before sunrise. And I now know (didn't at that time) this was the best light we had. Beautiful pink colours were scattered everywhere. The atmosphere was quite magical. Pheasants making noises around us and a rising pinkish fog appearing more and more over the fields.
Minireport footage was minimal again, just like yesterday. By now I'm in serious doubt there will be one at all. It's photography first these days, and thats very ok.

Around 08:00 we got ourselves delicious freshly baked Kaiser-brotchen and croissants. Not long after that we went to the city of Maastricht where we spent the afternoon.
