Sunrise over Vijlen

The alarm went off at 04:45.
And not long after that Peter and I left for some sunrise photography.
It looks like it going to be another hot day. When I parked the car somewhere in a field near Vijlen it was 05:40 and already 18C.

We walked up a hill and found our first location on the edge of a forest, looking over Vijlen with its huge church tower.
Once the sun came everything was set in a warm golden glow. Perfect!

We recorded some footage for our minireport, but somehow we were too busy with photography and didn't get much of a report.

We drove to several other locations and by 08:00 we went to a supermarket in Gulpen to get the groceries for breakfast.
We arrived back at our cottage around 08:45. Joke and Annemarie were awake and ready. Breakfast was had and after clearing up all that we went to Aken, just over the German border. We visited the Dome and strolled somewhat through the old city centre. Beautiful.
In the afternoon we dropped Annemarie and Joke off in Valkenburg and Peter and I went on to the 'Savelsbos' to capture wild garlic that is in full bloom right now. After walking quite bit, and asking a few people we found it. Another perfect location! We spent over 2 hours and then drove back to Valkenburg. Again, footage for the report was minimal.

In the evening we had a delicious dinner in restaurant Buitenlust, near Epen. We sat outside with a magnificent view over the rolling hills. we all had the traditional asparagus menu. Delicious!

What a great day!
I amazes me how fast my 'busy season' has gone to the background.
The only thing that reminded me was a push-notification on y phone of the incoming payment of a client. Great timing! Great client as well.
